TERMS OF SERVICE

Welcome to Hair Society

At Hair Society, we believe beautiful hair should feel effortless. Our mission is to create hair that complements your lifestyle whilst prioritising its long term health and integrity.

We are committed to providing every guest with exceptional service, honest advice and professional expertise. In return, we kindly ask that you take a moment to read our salon policies. They are designed to ensure transparency, fairness and the best possible experience for both our clients and our team.

Our Promise to You

We promise to always put the health and integrity of your hair first. Every recommendation we make is guided by what is best for your hair's long-term health, wearability and suitability for your lifestyle.

We are committed to creating results that are beautiful, wearable and achievable whilst maintaining the integrity of your hair.

Consultations and Professional Advice

Every client is unique, and every head of hair behaves differently. During your consultation, we will discuss your hair goals, lifestyle, maintenance preferences and the condition of your hair.

Our recommendations are based on our professional experience and are made with your hair's long-term health in mind.

Whilst we will always strive to achieve your desired result, no salon can guarantee an exact colour, tone, texture or longevity of any service. Results may vary depending on factors including previous colour history, medications, hormones, home care routines, texture, density, condition and how the hair responds during processing.

Some transformations may require multiple appointments to achieve safely and successfully.

Hair Colour and Chemical Services

Hair colouring, lightening and smoothing services are bespoke treatments, and every client's hair will respond differently.

By proceeding with a service, clients acknowledge that:

  • Colour results may vary from inspiration photographs.

  • Previously coloured or chemically treated hair may react unpredictably.

  • The longevity of colour, gloss and smoothing treatments cannot be guaranteed.

  • Multiple appointments may be required to safely achieve certain results.

  • Hair Society reserves the right to alter or refuse any service if we believe it may compromise the health or integrity of the hair.

Hair Integrity Policy

The long term health of your hair will always take priority over achieving a particular colour result.

During any colour or chemical service, Hair Society reserves the right to modify the agreed service where necessary to protect the integrity of the hair.

This may include removing colour, changing the service plan, recommending treatments, reducing the amount of lightening performed or refusing to proceed with part or all of the service.

Our professional judgement will always prioritise healthy hair over cosmetic outcomes.

Adjustments and Concerns

Your happiness is incredibly important to us. If you have any concerns regarding your service, we kindly ask that you contact us within seven days of your appointment.

We respectfully ask that clients provide Hair Society with the opportunity to assess and resolve any concerns before seeking corrective work elsewhere.

Where appropriate, we may offer an adjustment appointment or recommend a suitable solution.

Clients may be asked to attend the salon in person for an assessment before any further action can be considered.

Failure to attend an assessment appointment may result in Hair Society being unable to investigate or resolve the concern.

Hair Society reserves the right to decline requests for adjustments or refunds where:

  • The concern has been raised after seven days.

  • Corrective work has been carried out elsewhere.

  • Aftercare advice has not been followed.

  • The hair has undergone further chemical services following the appointment.

  • We have not been given the opportunity to assess the concern.

Refund Policy

Due to the time, products and professional expertise involved in providing our services, Hair Society does not offer refunds for completed services as standard.

Where a genuine concern exists, we are committed to finding a fair and reasonable solution. This may include:

  • An adjustment appointment.

  • A complimentary treatment.

  • An alternative service where appropriate.

  • A partial refund at the salon's sole discretion.

  • Any goodwill gesture offered by Hair Society does not constitute an admission of fault or liability.

Appointments, Deposits and Cancellations

All colour appointments require a deposit to secure your booking.

Deposits are non-refundable if appointments are cancelled or rescheduled with less than forty-eight hours' notice.

Appointments cancelled with less than forty-eight hours' notice may be charged one hundred per cent of the appointment value.

Deposits are transferable when appointments are rescheduled with more than twenty-four hours' notice.

Clients arriving significantly late may be required to reschedule their appointment or amend the services booked in order to avoid impacting other guests.

Patch Testing

The safety of our clients is our highest priority. Patch tests are mandatory for all new colour clients and may also be required for existing clients in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.

Clients are responsible for informing Hair Society of any changes to their medical history, medications, pregnancy status or allergies which may affect the suitability of a service.

Failure to attend a required patch test appointment may result in the cancellation or postponement of your colour appointment.

Hair Society reserves the right to refuse any colour or chemical service where a patch test has not been completed when required.

Liability

Hair Society shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from dissatisfaction with a service, including loss of earnings, emotional distress or costs incurred at another salon unless otherwise required by law.

Our liability shall be limited to the amount paid for the original service.

Clients acknowledge that dissatisfaction with a cosmetic outcome does not necessarily indicate negligence or professional fault.

Photography and Assessments

Photographs may occasionally be requested to assist with the assessment of any concerns raised following an appointment.

Photographs are used solely for assessment purposes and do not replace an in-person consultation where this is deemed necessary.

In the unlikely event of a dispute regarding the condition of the hair or service results, Hair Society reserves the right to request an independent professional assessment before considering any financial remedy.

Children and Safety

For the comfort and safety of all guests, we kindly ask that children are supervised at all times whilst visiting the salon.

Children receiving services must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
